Effective October 15, 2026
The short version
- You don't need an account, and we never ask for your name.
- Your birth details are processed in your own browser. They are not sent to us or to advertisers.
- Charts you save stay on your device.
- The site shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show and measure ads, and you can turn off personalized ads at any time.
- We never sell or share the birth details you enter.
Who we are
MyNatalSky ("we", "us") is a website run by Diya Wilson in Appleton, Wisconsin, United States. You can contact us about this policy at [email protected].
Information we handle
Birth details you enter
The date, time and place you enter in a calculator are used in your browser to calculate your chart. They are not sent to our server, and the page address does not contain them unless you open or copy a share link. If you copy a share link, the link itself contains your birth details, so anyone you send it to can see them.
Saved charts
If you press Save, the chart's birth details are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. We can't see them. Removing a chart from the saved list, or clearing your browser data, deletes it.
Place search
To suggest cities as you type, your browser downloads small files of place names from our server. Which file it downloads depends on the first letters you type, so our server logs could show those letters, but not the rest of your birth details.
Server logs
Like any website, our web host automatically records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, the page that referred you and the time of the request. This is used to run the site and protect it from abuse, and the host keeps it only for a limited period.
Advertising data
Google and its advertising partners collect information through cookies and similar technologies when ads load, such as an identifier stored in your browser, your IP address, your device and browser type, the pages you visit and how you interact with ads. Google collects this information directly; we don't receive it in a form that identifies you.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use them only to reply. We keep emails only as long as we need them to deal with your message.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which helps keep the calculators free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at optout.aboutads.info, or in Europe at youronlinechoices.eu.
If you turn off personalized ads, you will still see ads, but they won't be based on your browsing. Google may still use cookies for things like limiting how often you see an ad and preventing fraud. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and how Google uses cookies in advertising.
Google chooses which ads appear. We don't control individual ads, and showing an ad is not an endorsement.
Your consent in Europe, the UK and Switzerland
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will see a consent message from Google's certified consent management platform before advertising cookies are used for personalized ads. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the privacy and cookie settings link that appears on the page.
Your rights in California and other US states
Under some US state privacy laws, letting advertising partners use cookies for targeted advertising can count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You have the right to opt out. Where required, the site shows a privacy message from Google with a link to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and you can also turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings. You also have the right to know, correct and delete personal information we hold about you, and we won't treat you differently for using these rights. Email us to make a request.
Our site doesn't respond differently to "Do Not Track" browser signals, because there is no common standard for them. The opt-outs above work instead.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices and rights
Because we don't store your birth details, there is usually nothing for us to access or delete. You control saved charts on your device, and you control advertising cookies through your browser, the consent message and the opt-out links above. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete your messages. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have rights to access, correct, delete and object to the use of your personal information; email us and we will respond. We rely on your consent for personalized advertising cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site for server logs.
Where information is processed
Our site is hosted in the United States. Google may process advertising information in the United States and other countries, under its own safeguards.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Questions go to [email protected].
